| 2006 Team Captains Announced | |||||||
The Uconn Men's Lacrosse team recently announced it's captains for the 2005-2006 season. Senior Midfielder Jake Gerson (Charlotte, VT) will continue to lead the Huskies offense in his second year as captain, along side Midfielder Scott Apelgren (Simsbury, CT). Junior Goalie Chris Slater (Brookfield, CT) will help direct the Uconn defense. |

| Huskies Swept By South | |||||||
After weeks of indoor practice Uconn's first time out on a field did not go as planned. The Huskies came out flat against SELC opponents losing three straight games to start off their 2005 campaign. The team looks to rebound in two weeks when they face off against nationally ranked #22 New Hampshire for their home opener at the Sherman Turf Complex. |

| Alumni Game Announced | |||||||
| Uconn Lacrosse's annual alumni tradition continues this spring with the 2004-05 alumni game. The game will be held at depot field on Sunday March 20th at 1pm. After the game a team cookout will be held. All lacrosse alumni (NCAA/PCLL/MDIA) are welcome and encouraged to attend. For more alumni information please see the alumni section. | Huskies 2005 Schedule Released | |||||||
| The University of Connecticut Men's Lacrosse team released its 2005 spring schedule this week. The Huskies begin their '05 campaign on March 5th in Clemson, SC when they face off against the Clemson Tigers. They will also face the University of Georgia and East Carolina University before returning home to begin conference play. UConn will face nationally ranked University of New Hampshire for their home opener at the Sherman Turf Complex on March 25th. 2005 Schedule |

| UConn Concludes Fall Season with Victories | |||||||
UConn Men's Lacrosse concluded a successful fall season with victories over the University of New Haven and Central Connecticut State University. Other highlights included competing in SNHU's fall tournament where the Huskies came away with a shut out victory against NCAA DIII Daniel Webster College. |

| New Coach Takes Helm for Huskies | |||||||
| UConn's newest head coach Chuck Little has been involved in lacrosse for well over a decade. A 1989 Ithaca graduate, Little had been the head lacrosse coach at New Bedford (Mass.) High School since 1996. He has also served as an assistant coach at several area colleges, including Roger Williams University, UMass Dartmouth, and Mass Maritime. | |||||||
