2005 Team Captains Announced

| The UConn Men's Lacrosse team recently announced it's captains for the 2004-2005 season. Senior Goalie Nick Borden (Groton, CT) and Senior Defenseman David Longo (North Kingstown, RI) will continue to uphold Uconn's tradition of stingy defense. Junior Midfielder Jake Gerson (Charlotte, VT) will lead the teams offense. | |||||||

| UConn Falls to Stonehill in PCLL Playoffs | |||||||
| The #4 Seeded University of Connecticut was defeated by the #5 seeded Stonehill College 7-3 in the first round of the PCLL playoffs located in Durham, NH. Uconn's offense was shut down for most of the game while the teams defense tried to keep the game close, but ultimately gave in to the Chieftains attack in the 4th quarter. | |||||||
| Huskies Finish Regular Season 8-4 | |||||||
| UConn finished it's regular season with a victory over CCSU 10-2. The team finishes with a 3rd place league ranking and a 7-3 PCLL record. They head to New Hampshire this weekend to battle for a bid to the USLIA National Tournament in St. Louis. 2004's Offensive Leaders include Jeff Keegan (9g/17a), Dave Salemme (17g/7a) and Adam Ivans (15g/5a). Goalie Nick Borden finishes the season with a .679 save percentage. |

| UConn Starts League Play with Two Wins | |||||||
UConn started it's PCLL schedule with victories vs. Boston University and the University of New Haven. The Huskies beat BU 9-5 at Nickerson Field, and dismantled a weak New Haven team 18-5 later that week. The CCSU game was postponed due to bad weather. Next Sunday the Huskies will face off against New Hampshire, a consistently strong PCLL program. |

| Sloppy 2nd Half Sinks Huskies Chances vs. Pitt | |||||||
| A penalty-riddled second half ended Uconn's chance for a victory at the University of Pittsburgh. The Huskies came out with a strong showing in the first half, and played to a 4-4 half-time tie. The second half found Pitt taking advantage of Uconn's many man-down situations, and the Huskies inability to get a transition game going. Uconn starts league play this Friday vs. BU. | |||||||
